I do eat them, very nice lean meat, nothing like farmed pig. You just need to be very careful when harvest meat. Some areas are known for infected animals. Even if they look ok you must look for any signs of potential disease and if in doubt - check it out. Not worth the risk
 
I have pics in my log. right now its pompano and spanish mackerel where i live.

those are my favorites to eat. i use the scraps and not so good tasting fish to feed the homeless cats in my neighborhood.

but the fishing has been horrible this season. likely because of the warming oceans and all the sand dumping they are doing off the coast to bring in tourists and expand the beaches.
Had a look at the fish you got, very nice man. Tropical/reef fish is the best, i cought a lot when lived near Great Barrier Reef. Coral trout, Mahi Mahi, Mackerel are my favourite.
