My one piece of advice I'd give my former lard ass self would be to stretchhh before you workout for a good 15-20mins. The amount of issues I ran into thinking my joints were just weak or my form was off have all been solved by religiously following a stretch routine before every session in the gym. I'm sure most people know this but it was something I overlooked for quite some time.
