I’m brand new to the forum.

I’ve just started my first cycle and thought I should maybe start a log :)

I’m a 21yr old Female from NZ
5’7
68kg

I’m big into the gym.
I used to do powerlifting but now I just workout for the love of the game.
I’m considering trying bodybuilding down the track although I don’t currently have any set plan.

I’m in the middle of a cut which started 9wks ago. (Starting weight 75kg)

I’ve started this Var cycle to help maintain my muscle mass throughout the cut.

My goal is to get as shredded as I can.

Macros -
ORIGINAL PLAN
1800kcals
180P : 135C : 60F

I ate these macros for 8wks
And then Last week I increased my calories and carbs because I was very fatigued and it began to affect my training

So my current macros are -
1950kcals
180P : 170C : 60F

Cycle

Day 8 of 5mg Anavar (from PCT shop.com)

I’m thinking of going up to 10mg at 2weeks ?

Im planning to do a 6-8wk cycle depending on how my bloods are looking.

+ I’ve ran 6wks of Clenbuterol @ 80mcg

But I’m about to run out and I don’t know if I’ll continue with it so I’ve halved my dose to 40mcg for the last few days left

I’m not sure if I’ll get more Clen. I’m considering trying Reta… but I’m not sure yet.

Welcome to Evo! Made a good start by getting a log going, logging has been insanely helpful for me and I'm sure it will be for you as well. You've leaned out a lot!

you look great, nice tricep definition, I wont lie, I dont know much about females and cycling, so I wont advise anything but if you do routine bloods and guide by them you cant go wrong.
Either way, I will be following.
 
Welcome to the Evo family! Look forward to watching more of your progress. You got a good base to begin with. Your progressing well. Reta is a good choice. I am a big fan of GLp-1's. Take it slow increasing your dose on it, takes some time to kick in for some people. Don't want to increase to much and get sides effects u don't want. So far everything I hear about Reta way easier to take and move up then the 2 forms before it, semaglutide and terzepatide. I like Var as well. Made me feel strong in the gym when I was using it. What is your goal weight or it don't matter as long as you look shredded?

Yeah there definitely isn’t much information out there for females on gear. I know lots of women do cycles but the only ones open about it look and sound like men…

My current approach is just regular bloods combined with cautious monitoring for signs of masculinisation. No gains are worth me turning into a man for 😂

I don’t have a goal weight as such. Originally I was aiming for 60 but I’m trying not to focus too much on the scale and more on decreasing my body fat percentage.

I’ve heard great things about Reta I’ll have to look into it more.
And You’re right about the Var - I’m not noticing too much difference just yet so it’s probably best to wait before changing anything.

I use Genshi Labs Oxandrolone 20mg tabs which I cut into quarters.
I’ll attach a photo.

I feel good on my current Macros 180P 170C. Increasing the carbs has definitely made a huge difference in how I feel.

I don’t currently use any dietary or digestive supplements. What would you recommend?

@Gymgirl definitely a good start to this Log thanks for putting up the picture so we can see where you're at. You definitely do look raw and I'm not surprised you're 21 years old. Keep at it and stay consistent.

I could talk about reta all day and will do if invited to 😂 but truely I believe it's the way to go for you too, especially over clenbuterol. It's more than just the immediate fat loss, it really let's you focus on building good habits around food prep, etc and fix things up for the long term.

I'm surprised that you are 5'7". You look much taller in your pictures. I think you have lankier limbs. Make sure you take advantage of that. You'll have an easier time on pulling splits. @Gymgirl

You're a female so you need to be careful with any steroids. @Gymgirl you're lucky you're in NZ

It’s been allot of fun pushing myself with this cut. I’m loving exploring the enhanced route but it’s quite daunting!

With retatrutide or other GLP-1s in particular you'll save lots of money from not buying food 😂

I recently evaluated the options for reta in NZ and I couldn't afford any of them apart from where I already go which is @Life-Forge or they also have a website here.

I've only been through two 10mg bottles in total the whole time I've been on it, I just started my third two weeks ago. And I got a long way on that first bottle and was sold on the idea by the time I finished that.

Life Forge has a starter kit for tirzepatide the other GLP-1 they sell but basically you'd need to get a 10mg bottle of reta, at the 2mg per week recommended starting dose that's 5 weeks worth and they're $150 at Life Forge. I was quoted $600 for 15mg at another place, and $400 for 10mg at a third.

Then you need a bottle of BAC water to reconstitute the peptide, they're $20, and a packet of micro-needles which are also 31g.

I wrote a guide to the needle exchange that's pinned in the NZ section of Evo but for just these fat injecions for reta/peptides those tiny little needles Life Forge sells are perfect. It's a really easy injection type once you know how to do it.

With Life Forge and adding $10 for post you're looking at $200 for five weeks on it - and by then you'll know for sure if you want to continue or not.

And about the Anavar you got - I highly recommend you get them tested by The Drugs Project - @LevButlerov linked you to my post about it but I can find out exactly where you need to go if you like. Let me know if you run into problems but I think you should do this - the consequences for you taking the wrong stuff at the wrong dose are way higher than for me.

There's also a guy here who got sold anavar he bought for his girlfriend that turned out to be Winstrol.

Have you heard of Hanna Hussein? She helped an Aussie friend of mine when she started to grow a beard after taking pills her PT gave her, fake anavar. She's a cool chick to look up on YouTube and I think she has a lot to say that'll be of interest to you.

I listened to the Evo podcast for a year before I started logging here and regret procrastinating for so long... once I started everything moved quickly :) I did/do the bulk of my research from Evo resources, the podcast and forum.

Log 10/11 - Day 9 on Cycle

Glute day today -
This is my least favourite day of my split..
If I were to skip or half ass any day it would be today, but I was determined to go hard.
I started with RDLs - with 3x working sets at 110kg which were moving well doing 5-6reps
I definitely could feel a difference in my mind muscle connection and strength on the Var compared to my last glute day.
I then went onto Hip thrusts… which is my least favourite exercise - I really wasn’t feeling it so smashed out a few heavy sets before moving onto smith machine Bulgarian split squats 4x 35kg for 8-10 reps.
I felt strong on these and noticed I had more power than normal especially since being on this cut
but wow my Hammys were so Crampy today! It was horrible. This may be the Clen?

I finished up by super setting hanging leg raises with cable crunches and then left without doing my cardio whoops.

Tomorrow is Push day so I'm super excited to see how that feels with the Var.

Food
Yesterdays Eating-
1924kcals
160g P 161g C 71g F

I didn’t quite hit my protein yesterday which is a shame, but it wasn’t too bad.
I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and I am just coming off of a liquid / puree diet which has meant my food options have been quite reduced.

Today my protein intake isn’t looking much better so I might just have to eat a jumbo can of tuna and a shake for dinner to try and hit my 180g target.

I weighed in at 66.7kg this morning, which is great. I had been averaging around 66-67kg for a while but when I started taking the Var it had jumped up to consistently around 68. Im happy to see it coming back down - I wonder if it was water retention or something? The increase also lined up with me halving my Clen dose which could have contributed.

Thanks to some of your suggestions I’m going to take the Var to get tested. I’ve heard of it being faked for Wynstrol but didn’t really consider getting it tested until now. it will be good to get that done and have some peace of mind instead of just crossing my fingers that I don’t go bald or grow a lady penis haha

I’m definitely eyeing up adding Reta to my cycle, but I will have to request a few extra shifts first before I can afford to add it haha

I’ve started this Var cycle to help maintain my muscle mass throughout the cut.

My goal is to get as shredded as I can.

I ate these macros for 8wks
And then Last week I increased my calories and carbs because I was very fatigued and it began to affect my training

I’m thinking of going up to 10mg at 2weeks ?

Im planning to do a 6-8wk cycle depending on how my bloods are looking.

+ I’ve ran 6wks of Clenbuterol @ 80mcg

But I’m about to run out and I don’t know if I’ll continue with it so I’ve halved my dose to 40mcg for the last few days left

I’m not sure if I’ll get more Clen. I’m considering trying Reta… but I’m not sure yet.

Eat well, train even harder but pleeasssee lets take it slow woth the enhancements. Dont allow your self to seduced with the idead of faster progress good things take time and fast things dont last.
Health is number one and you have your whole life ahead of you. Im not trying to scare you off or anything and this is probably the dad side of me speaking out lout lol but we say these things at Evo because we genuinely care about our members.

Log 10/11 - Day 9 on Cycle

Glute day today -
This is my least favourite day of my split..
If I were to skip or half ass any day it would be today, but I was determined to go hard.
I started with RDLs - with 3x working sets at 110kg which were moving well doing 5-6reps
I definitely could feel a difference in my mind muscle connection and strength on the Var compared to my last glute day.
I then went onto Hip thrusts… which is my least favourite exercise - I really wasn’t feeling it so smashed out a few heavy sets before moving onto smith machine Bulgarian split squats 4x 35kg for 8-10 reps.
I felt strong on these and noticed I had more power than normal especially since being on this cut
but wow my Hammys were so Crampy today! It was horrible. This may be the Clen?

I finished up by super setting hanging leg raises with cable crunches and then left without doing my cardio whoops.

Tomorrow is Push day so I'm super excited to see how that feels with the Var.

I didn’t quite hit my protein yesterday which is a shame, but it wasn’t too bad.
I recently had my wisdom teeth removed and I am just coming off of a liquid / puree diet which has meant my food options have been quite reduced.

Today my protein intake isn’t looking much better so I might just have to eat a jumbo can of tuna and a shake for dinner to try and hit my 180g target.

I weighed in at 66.7kg this morning, which is great. I had been averaging around 66-67kg for a while but when I started taking the Var it had jumped up to consistently around 68. Im happy to see it coming back down - I wonder if it was water retention or something? The increase also lined up with me halving my Clen dose which could have contributed.

Thanks to some of your suggestions I’m going to take the Var to get tested. I’ve heard of it being faked for Wynstrol but didn’t really consider getting it tested until now. it will be good to get that done and have some peace of mind instead of just crossing my fingers that I don’t go bald or grow a lady penis haha

I’m definitely eyeing up adding Reta to my cycle, but I will have to request a few extra shifts first before I can afford to add it haha

Reta is a much better choice for your then clen by 1000x.
If you do go down this route go real easy.

But it is almost a magical compound to have for what we do and it goes well past just the fat loss benifits. Save your money and get some when you can afford it, proper game changer.

but I'll try take it slow with the gear you are right I have no reason to rush this.

Definitely go check it out the testing place is awesome and theyre real good. And free! They probably wont be able to get a read but just tell them the risks and theyll be happy to send it to the lab to get result.

It’s been allot of fun pushing myself with this cut. I’m loving exploring the enhanced route but it’s quite daunting!
What does Raw mean?
Raw muscle is just a term I use to mean someone who is young
You can tell mature muscle mass vs younger easily

Cramping likely from the Clen or lower sodium, so add electrolytes and taurine ED
and yes test that anavar to confirm purity before raising the dose, listen to @vanlife_gymbum he did it right sister

but I'll try take it slow with the gear you are right I have no reason to rush this.
Yes welcome to the board. Looks like you’re starting a good base, agree your young don’t rush it. See what your natural genes will give you. Be consistent!!!! Faster is not better esp whe dealing with PEDs and side effects they can bring. Max out your natural strength first. I agree with @Allupfromhere . But Var is a safer route for female. Little goes a long ways. That’s a pretty big dose for young starter. I would have suggested 2.5mg but maybe hard to cut the pills. Good call getting car tested. I felt power in my lifts too with Var. I would say no longer than 8-12 weeks on Var. Don’t increase it. Not a fan of clen either. It’s harsh. GLPs way to go. Semaglutide was a game changer for me. If you go back to my log and look there are some pucs prior to my mid-July Competition. Not sure what pages theyre on. Just gotta push the food in. Keep up the grind sister. 💪🌸

  5. 4 sets spider curls 24kgs x 8,8,6,7
  6. 3 sets Hammer Curls - just to absolutely exhaust my biceps they were so fatigued I had to drop down the weights quite a-bit each set.
  7. 4 sets machine rear delt flys
  8. 3 sets hanging leg raises
Despite feeling weak and unmotivated during my warm up pull ups, I ended up having an absolutely killer session. I felt so strong on my back exercises and my mind muscle connection was better than I’ve ever felt so I was able to push myself harder than I ever have.

I noticed my biceps looked harder and drier too and I was abit more vascular than normal which was super cool.

Good pull work today, the 70kg rows and spider curls hit clean and you pushed through even with that slow warm up. :D @Gymgirl

Macros just need a small shift so carbs come up on pull days and fats drop a bit so strength stays high imo

Visually I’d be aiming for visible ab definition, quad lines, hard upper body with capped delts and some striations.

  6. 3 sets Hammer Curls - just to absolutely exhaust my biceps they were so fatigued I had to drop down the weights quite a-bit each set.

Despite feeling weak and unmotivated during my warm up pull ups, I ended up having an absolutely killer session. I felt so strong on my back exercises and my mind muscle connection was better than I’ve ever felt so I was able to push myself harder than I ever have.

I noticed my biceps looked harder and drier too and I was abit more vascular than normal which was super cool.

Whoaaa young sister your really pushing some weight!! Strength is very impressing for real!
As the others have mention about the bump in carbs will definitely help with Strength.
Look into carb cycling, have your high carb days on your biggest lifting days and even better if you can focus the majority of them either side of your workout. Have a medium day on your standard days and drop them lower again on your rest days. This will keep you fuelled and strong for your workouts and still benifit from the fat loss with the deficit on the rest days. Much easier mentally this way too

I definately up my carb cycle on my lift days. Especially if it’s deadlifts or squat days! I don’t reduce my protein ever tho. Always stays high. But carb Cycling I feel really helps with recovery.

I completely agree with you! My heavy leg days are where my carbs are highest. Most carbs are consumed either side of my workout for fuel and replenishment. Protein stays the same on all days.

But i wish i had your lifts🥹😂

Nice, just shy of 2k cals is still a pretty decent amount of food I'd be curious to know at what point your rate of fat loss slows/ stops at these cals.

Yeah that's a great idea bro, a community research thread.

It's an issue that affects us all globally - there was the Australian lady @Sheshredz today who really sounded like she had something other than Anavar.

There was a kiwi source recently suspended who did a bunch of dodgy shit, one being selling fake Anavar, it was tested at the needle exchange and at the lab and was Winstrol.

Another two cases one was filler only and the other Winstrol also, both in blister packs!!

There's this grade of fake pharma shit. It's UGL gear but run through pill presses if you're lucky, and comes with pointless inserts full of spelling mistakes, and the proviron presses I got don't even stay together, they were in a fancy cardboard box and in a brightly coloured jar. It's all tricks to scam people. They call it "pharma grade" 😂

All the expense and effort into printing this crap is to fool uneducated people into thinking it's pharma. That was the trick the NZ guy who just got suspended was using. He called everything pharma and even told me he bought the clear unlabelled bottle of test e he sells for three times the going rate from a pharmacy overseas in person 😂

It's so bad that they fake Anavar in particular man. I had a lady friend from work over in Australia who started growing a beard after taking pills from her PT at a mainstream gym. Anavar... probably fake anavar hence the beard. It fucked her life up big time.

There's so many woman here and that I meet out in public that are interested in Anavar specifically because of being safer for woman at low doses. But then they are being given unknown doses of a full on male hormone unknowingly.. it's awful.

I've been working on a short guide to make a thread for on how people can use the free drug testing services in NZ and maybe I can get someone from Australia to help me figure it out there too - I garentee there's something similar.

The drug checking organisation has funding now and we can send all samples for full lab analysis in addition to the instant read on the smaller machine, Hannah:

Hey @Gymgirl - hope you're settling in okay, your log is going off!! Nice work!

I've been thinking through the drug testing stuff a bit more and with my testing even if I get full lab testing done that's still not purity testing. The difference between 2.5mg, 5mg and 10mg is more or less acceptable for a male but is a huge difference in doses for a woman who's trying to keep low doses.

I haven't pushed for purity testing because it's more of a nice to know for me not a huge safety concern. But if you explain the situation with fake anavar in NZ and that dosing might be way too high they could well send it for purity testing as that's now a safety concern and it's a harm reduction service, they will definitely try to help.

Let me know if I can do anything to help you with this but they're soo nice and friendly, all the lab techs I've met in there. You'll be amazed at how genuinely helpful they are. You ask for Drugs Checking when you go into the needle exchange, that's the department name for thelevel.org.nz, the entire exchange system is called The Drugs Project. I think it's the same for all of the north island but I'm in Wellington. It's definitely different in Christchurch where I came from before Wellington.
 
I pay out of my own pocket to send a sample into Jano each time I buy AAS. Yes, it’s expensive, BUT gives me peace of mind, keeps me informed and in-control about what/ how much I’m using, and, IMO, you can’t put a price on loosing your femininity or fertility if you do decide to chance it and end up with an unexpected compound. There are too many ladies at my gym who’ve clearly abused or misused AAS & it’s sad because I’m sure some of them hold regrets; but there’s no reversing some of the sides even if you do drop big $ on cosmetic procedures.

4 ) overhead extensions - 16.25kg x 8,7,8
5 ) dumbbell lateral Raises 10kg x 8,9,7,6

Today’s eating -

193g protein
154g carbs

I didn’t mange to increase my carbs which is annoying I’ll have to try harder tomorrow.

I’m surprisingly struggling to increase them. I’m racking my brain thinking of carb sources.
I love carbs and always crave them so I’m surprised that I’m finding it difficult to hit this increased carb goal.

So far I’m tolerating the Var well and I haven’t noticed any side effects or major changes other than the subtle strength increase and better mind muscle connection on those heavy sets.

I really appreciate all your feedback.
My weight has ranged 66.2-66.7kg each morning this week so it’s holding well although as it’s been pointed out it will be interesting to see when my weight plateaus considering my calories are still pretty reasonable at almost 2k

Certain carbs can be extremely satiating especially complex carbs: rice, pasta, potato and can be difficult to consume in bigger volume.
Look to things like fruits, dates, coconut water(raw organic).

Can always try a carb shake as an intra workout drink too. Opt for Carbohydrate like karbolyn which doesnt need to be digested and can be fast absorbed through the stomach wall pulling water and nutrients with it.
Or cyclic dextrin that has a high molecular weight structure which allows it to pass through the stomach fast and into the small intestine, where it is then broken down into glucose for sustained energy release. Because it moves through the stomach so fast it helps prevent the digestive discomfort that other carbohydrates can cause.

Consuming a liquid is much easier to increase daily carbs and the benifit is you can target the specific timing arounf and during your workouts.

Really is worth looking into carb cycling as this will really help with plateaus.

70 kg bench work and the 40 kg smith incline both hit solid for a push day!

Carbs at 154 can go up easy with rice but not much over 180 imo

Sounds cheesy but I use something called Karbolyn. It's a carb shake (instead of a protein shake we always go to for a quick protein fix). It really digests easy and no bloat at all and 2 scoops is 100 carbs and it's easy to chug. Made from potatoes, corn, and rice.

All were purchased from verified vendors/ sponsors on another forum.
Majority of ladies I know aren’t sourcing from verified suppliers and are using stuff they get from some guy or PT at the gym which makes testing all the more important.

Busy day of work and things with an evening workout. I much prefer a morning gym session. I wasn’t really feeling it but I gave it everything I had and at least I had a good pump and my arms were looking pretty vascular.

I felt very angry for absolutely no reason at the gym which was strange and quite unlike me. I’m not sure if that could be the Var or just me being tired.

I also have an insatiable hunger after this gym session. The cut has never felt harder than right now! Im going to just go to sleep and dream about my morning meal.

Busy day of work and things with an evening workout. I much prefer a morning gym session. I wasn’t really feeling it but I gave it everything I had and at least I had a good pump and my arms were looking pretty vascular.

I felt very angry for absolutely no reason at the gym which was strange and quite unlike me. I’m not sure if that could be the Var or just me being tired.

I also have an insatiable hunger after this gym session. The cut has never felt harder than right now! Im going to just go to sleep and dream about my morning meal.

This gave me a chuckle. 5mg var ED for a female is nothing to balk at so you might be getting some androgenic activity going on hence the mood. If you can harness it you'll be fine.

I've got a lot of confidence in you. The Smith incline bench and Smith tricep press is really nice. @Gymgirl Just take it a little bit easy on your shoulders when you're doing overheads.

Sad news -

I took the Var to be tested and it turns out it’s just be filler…

There’s a very small chance that they were just extremely under dosed but supposedly each pill had 20mg of Oxandrolone and the pills themselves only weighed 80mg so at 25% of the pill apparently it should have shown up easily in the testing… he ran it 3 times for me with different pills just in case but no luck.

Although this is super disappointing of all the bad news the lab testing could have given me I feel that this is the best possible outcome.. at least it’s not winstrol or anything

I guess I can hold onto my natty card a while longer..

But Hey who needs roids when the placebo feels this good.

I had the most incredible Leg day - I’m assuming the increased carbs are what made my strength feel through the roof. I also had a great pump and my arms were looking quite veiny gripping the leg extension machine. I love all these small changes I’m noticing as my body fat decreases.

Leg Day

1 ) Barbell heal elevated Squats - 90kg x6 100kg x5 110kg x3,3

First time squatting in ages - one of my least favourite exercises but I’m proud to have pushed myself

2 ) Leg Extensions - 80kg x9, 87.5kg x8, 100kg x6 107.5kg x 4

3 ) Seated Hamstring curl - 72.5kg x5 (my hammies wouldn’t stop cramping ouch) 65kg x5, 57.5kg x 7

4 ) Machine Adductors 92.5kg x7,8,7

5 ) Standing calf machine 115 x8,9,7

6 ) Hanging leg raises

Eating
Breakfast - 3 Eggs with mince on toast
Lunch - 4 eggs on sourdough
Dinner - Chicken and rice cakes
Snacks - Dried mango

he ran it 3 times for me with different pills just in case but no luck.
It was definitely fake and I like that you weighed the mg of it vs. the mg claimed of anavar.

Not bad... lower protein than normal but the carbs will power you through the workout. I'd up the protein today (the next day)

1mg is the max starting dose to start out. Keep it at 1mg for 2 weeks minimum to let it build in your system before hopping onto 2mg.
