Canadian TRT struggles

Jimdawg22

Just wanted to share my journey to date trying to address low testosterone issues in Nova Scotia, Canada. First off, family physicians are impossible to get with 90k plus people waiting 7 plus years to get one. Family physicians and walk-ins won't go near TRT.

Finally found Jack Health online but the only tested my test levels and not even bioavailable testosterone. My test is normal, but at 44, I'm in the 60 plus age range for bioavailable testosterone. Was denied by them. A year later science and humans finally had a NS NP who I got my bloodwork done and bioavailable test was very low. Met with them and they only want to prescribe HCG. From my research this isn't the best option as solo treatment. I have 4 kids and no plans on having more. Apparently in Nova Scotia regulations say you have to see an in person physician quarterly for trt. Just wanted to let everyone know so they don't waste their money on science and humans in Nova Scotia. Alberta and other provinces are less strict around virtual test prescription. I'd love to hear other solutions or experiences.

I used to be a bodybuilder so I'm familiar with cycles etc but just wanted a simple cyp every other day at 150mg or so with regular bloodwork but it's impossible in this province trying to do it legit.

@Jimdawg22 welcome to the EVO family broly ;) and TRT is for you but doesnt meant you can get a script, you should consider doing self TRT
check our Canada sub
https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/forums/canada-approved-sources.254/

but REAL question is WHY do you have low testosterone? you training diet history all matters here serious
you see logs on EVO how they laid out?

Appreciate you reaching out and the warm welcome. That was my thought, self TRT. I was a former bodybuilder so may have messed up normal levels there despite following standardized cycles and PCT back like 20 years ago. My diet is on par due to my reactive hypoglycemia. I eat super clean, get great sleep and don't touch booze or smoke. I'll check out the thread. Appreciate the community and the podcasts I just started to get into. The game has changed in the past two decades lol.

i would start this off by saying you aint the first to mess up test level broly @Jimdawg22 EVO family here to help ;)
but you need to start sharing with us
start by putting up a training nutrition log in a new thread, will take you 15min and will help us prep and guide you in the test cycle , add your current info there

HOW-TO LOG?
  • To really guide you we need more info from you.
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
Please post a Log Journal asap for us

Please click the anabolic forum
https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/forums/anabolic-steroids-and-peds.2/
top RIGHT, you see: +POST THREAD
click that

in Title: write your cycle name, like> My _____ Cycle Log
___ = the name of your log
example: My Training Diet Log
in body: write your planned cycle or cycle you doing now, your diet, training and we will help you along on your cycle

here are examples of LOG Journals

when you live in a small town its going to be harder to find proper medical care. that is why you see pro athletes fly to LA or NYC to visit with the top doctors. they dont fly to nova scotia to get their procedures for a reason.
its important to find the right doctors

Hey man,

Fellow Canadian struggling with getting TRT. For me, I had low normal levels from various injuries and really struggled to get a script for TRT.

I went with Sovereign Male out of Ontario and they have been really good to deal with. My benefits cover the costs which are a DEFINITE pain but something I gotta endure to keep the missus chill. They put you on 160-200mg a week with HcG as well. Super gravy

In terms of a little something extra, I found on this forum @pur-pharma-canada that I have been enjoying on my current test/var run. My missus is my literal pin nurse so she is very sceptical about UG product and the Pur-Pharma stuff has been the first she stacks up as good as script stuff from the pharmacy.

Canada is funny with TRT but we gotta make do 🤠🤠

Appreciate the insight. I believe I had reached out to them in the past but they didn't have anyone licensed here in NS. Our regulations require quarterly check-ins with somebody registered in the province. My health spending account would cover most of it if I did qualify but at this point it's likely I'll have to go the UGL route.

Ah darn, I’m really sorry to hear that man. I don’t understand why it’s such a pain for us

Self prescribed I guess it is haha How is it to req private bloodwork over there? In AB we got private bloodsuckers everywhere 😂
