I finally woke up under 176. Yippee. I like the mirror conditioning. There's not much more I can do this week. Just stay the course and let's see what happens. I do think since I sleep in on Saturday/Sunday, I end up losing some weight due to inflammation. M-F I get up at 4AM. Sleep around 9-10.
Not enough sleep. I think I catch up Sat/Sun. My body works out the inflammation and water retention.

Did not push too hard in the gym today. Mostly machines with heavy weight, low risk of injury. Starting to get more excited about the upcoming week. Laid out my pill cases for this week. No more injections as I finished everything. Last set of orals on Thursday AM, then all done. I will be on stage this upcoming week on Wed/Thu.

I am almost there! Tomorrow is another fasting day. I will do a light back work out. I also plan on getting my step count as normal 35K or so.
I fly out on Tuesday and will be on stage Wed & Thurs. I am getting excited. I like where my physique is. At this point it is what it is. Other than posing you are not going to impact much at this point. The weight is in the range. I wish it was consistently below, but I think it will be on Tuesday.
I am planning on monitoring the weight while I am there. My expectation is step on stage every time around 173-176. I have to correct if I get out that range. I'm accounting for some water loss from my current range.

It's show time now. Finish packing in a bit. Get up early in the AM and do the body hair grooming, fly out later in the morning.
Dinner this evening was 2 whole eggs plus 2 egg white portions and an avocado. Trying to eat lighter but normal. My intent is I like how I look the next day generally, I just want to replicate it and do nothing odd. I did get as low as 168 due to the Texas heat. I expect I will rehydrate and with food get back to mid 170s.

Watching the weight closely. this is me at 168.

And so begins the off-season. I am happy with my show. No more fasting, no more keto/glucose testing. Will keep my step count at 10K.
Sept will be a fart around month to get a 20% sloppy on the diet. Just keep the gym habit and do something, but non-specific in terms of goals.
Blood work from pre-show is almost ready, just waiting on estradiol. Will post with cycle thoughts when complete.

I would like to have done better but it is what it is. I find myself on the outside looking in.
Moving away from the center instead of closer to the center. So here is how I placed:

Yesterday and today back to 2 plates or 225. Non specific goals. At this point just enjoying myself and trying to keep the edema at bay. My appetite is insane crazy. I want to eat everything under the sun. Last night I though I would just have Pizza Hut personal pizza, I did. We had company over and one of the big box pizzas. I had 4 of those slices.

I suppose there are 3 ways of eating a meal.
1) Eat and leave the tank a little empty
2) Eat adequate amount or the right amount
3) blow it out and eat like an a$$hole.

I did number 3. Oh well, it is the off season. Weird thing about this. I have mentioned my sleep issues. Last night I slept from about 10am to 4pm without getting up once. That has not happened in a long time. Maybe I need more carbs for sleep?

Excellent job man it's so hard to win these competitions these days there's so many great athletes across the country who are able to compete thanks to social media and being sponsored so you should be proud of your showing

Last night my phone rang at around 1am. Looked at the number and did not answer. A number I did not recognize. Unfortunately did not go back to sleep as well.

I was supposed to get up at my usual 4AM. I felt lazy. It is labor day. I should just take a break and I did. As mentioned I have been eating out of my normal meal plan. I am getting a bit tired of the rich foods now. There are some things I need to finish. I think Thurs or Friday, I will be back my normal meals + off season additions.

A break week is ok, I sure needed it. I think I may have pushed harder yesterday than I realized.

Lessons learned. I do believe having injections end around a week before the show is ideal. Also increasing AI to crush estradiol the last 2 weeks
did seem to bring out more leanness or dryness. It seems like my arms and forearms got vascular at that point.

I would consider dropping your trt dose a little bit that will help normalize the Bloods
 
maybe do a 3 or 4 day fast
at some point this month that will help bring down your strained numbers

3 Plate Box Squats / 3 Plate Dead lifts

I am happy with my progress this year. I feel like my conditioning and prep for show 2 met my standard. I do feel like I have been more peeled at a show last year or the the year before, but my conditioning was up to my standard. I also think I did make some gains. My delts/chest had a little growth. I liked the cycle. I would most definitely repeat. I feel like if I could add 1 inch on my delts/arms/quads/thighs my physique would be more balanced. Of course, I am sure I would want another inch once I got that inch. It is what it is. I feel like what I am doing is working. It just will take time.

I am now more focused on getting a job. I have still been looking. I am trying to get some certifications that may help careerwise.
Also, thinking of some tech personal projects in this area we all love. Have been thinking on this for quite a while. I just need the education and time to pursue it. I certainly have that for the moment.

I feel like at this point with workout and drug protocols and being almost 56, I'm just not sure if the growth is possible. I do feel like if I can do it I need to increase the GH to 10 iu (maybe pharmaceutical) and use insulin along with all the usual suspect peds to make those type of gains. I'm not sure I want to do this. Part of me feels like this is the next step next year to progress. I don't have go batshit crazy maybe small experiment and monitor health and progress? Of course, I can't afford a pharma versions, but maybe the underground versions. Something to ponder for next year

I am deep in my off season rest month. I have been going to the gym and staying steady. I am not setting specific goals. I just want to easily press overhead or chest with 225 and squat/dead lift with 315. The month of September is stay active and do something. It is hard to find the right programming. I tend to slip into the last few weeks of contest prep and at this point I don't need that. I need one form of squat, 1 form of dead, etc. I just need to make that muscle group is engaged and not over do it with volume. I think this also a great time to light weight experiment targeting muscles with some new movements.

I am closely watching my legs for edema. I tend to get Edema post competition. I am trying to make sure keep doing cardio and working out to balance the off diet load

I am happy with my progress this year. I feel like my conditioning and prep for show 2 met my standard. I do feel like I have been more peeled at a show last year or the the year before, but my conditioning was up to my standard. I also think I did make some gains. My delts/chest had a little growth. I liked the cycle. I would most definitely repeat. I feel like if I could add 1 inch on my delts/arms/quads/thighs my physique would be more balanced. Of course, I am sure I would want another inch once I got that inch. It is what it is. I feel like what I am doing is working. It just will take time.

I am now more focused on getting a job. I have still been looking. I am trying to get some certifications that may help careerwise.
Also, thinking of some tech personal projects in this area we all love. Have been thinking on this for quite a while. I just need the education and time to pursue it. I certainly have that for the moment.

I feel like at this point with workout and drug protocols and being almost 56, I'm just not sure if the growth is possible. I do feel like if I can do it I need to increase the GH to 10 iu (maybe pharmaceutical) and use insulin along with all the usual suspect peds to make those type of gains. I'm not sure I want to do this. Part of me feels like this is the next step next year to progress. I don't have go batshit crazy maybe small experiment and monitor health and progress? Of course, I can't afford a pharma versions, but maybe the underground versions. Something to ponder for next year

I am deep in my off season rest month. I have been going to the gym and staying steady. I am not setting specific goals. I just want to easily press overhead or chest with 225 and squat/dead lift with 315. The month of September is stay active and do something. It is hard to find the right programming. I tend to slip into the last few weeks of contest prep and at this point I don't need that. I need one form of squat, 1 form of dead, etc. I just need to make that muscle group is engaged and not over do it with volume. I think this also a great time to light weight experiment targeting muscles with some new movements.

I am closely watching my legs for edema. I tend to get Edema post competition. I am trying to make sure keep doing cardio and working out to balance the off diet load

Not looking too bad. On Wed it was noticeable. I had some cake donuts from Shipley's. I could see the inflammation or the water in my skin.

Sorry I have been incognito. I had been so focused for the show back on Aug 28. Basically bodybuilding was life at that point. I needed to walk away for a bit. So what I have I been doing. Here you go.

No PEDs other than my doctor prescribed 200mg weekly TestCyp. No AI at this point either since I crashed my Estrogen for the show.
Last injection was Aug 22. Blood work was done on Aug 23/Sept 27. Blood work was actually a little better on Aug 23 vs Sept 27. Will post later in the week. I have been fully open with my menu at the moment. If I desire it I eat it. I would characterize it as 30% BB foods and 70% off menu foods. I am getting my full, I feel like it is causing worse bloodwork vs the PEDs and contest prep where my diet is super clean. I will clean up the diet some more just due to getting my full of some foods. October is my birthday month. I will turn 56 in a few weeks. So, I don't want to be restrictive yet. I am transitioning to better choices little by little.

My weight at the show was between 170-174. I do feel like I have been leaner on stage, but I was at 162 or so. This is a heaviest lean package I have had at show. I do feel like I made some gains this year.

I did keep my workouts and walks but just with less volume and time. I like to make sure I keep the habit but not have a specific goal in mind.
I did keep my 225 chest/shoulder presses and built up to 315 squats/deads. Actually got up to 405 this past weekend. At this point no goals, just maintain strength. I need the workouts to just be fun. Leading into the show the routine was monotonous and repetitive. It just felt like a chore. I need that beast mode to come back.

Weight was floating between 175-180 pre show. Right now weight is between 195-200. A bit fluffy.

Deep down, happy to have placed in 2 of 5 classes, but I want to do better. I want to improve. I have been pondering what worked and what didn't.
My biggest issue is my midsection. This offseason the goal is reduce the mid-section and increase the delts and arms. That would result in a more balanced physique.

The high for 2024 was probably the 600 lb trap bar dead lift. I am not power lifter, but there is something exciting about pulling that much weight of the ground. Blood rushes to your brain and you see stars or swirlies. It's a good feel. I think I am done doing dead lifts. I think it has thickened my midsection and just is not benefitting me on the physique stage. The definition of insanity is to keep doing same thing and expect a different result. I am thinking on what tweaks i need to make.

I will start my logging again with my thoughts. Full bloodwork should be available later in the week. I'll post with my thoughts.

For contest cut cycle
Last injection was Aug 22. Orals ended on 08/28.

Since then, just my TRT dose, was finishing off my Test Prop 100mg
Aug 31, Sept 7,14, 21 (Test Prop 150mg)

At this point, I am back to my pharma TRT script for 200mg weekly with Test Cyp.

Blood Work was fasted and on 09/27.
LDL up, no drugs since cycle other than TRT script. Feels like the off season diet is affecting my numbers.
Tested on my Keto Mojo before going to the lab.
Glucose was 93, Ketones were 0.1.

AST and ALT are still high, I did not work out this day prior to collection and was fasted. I did work out the previous days.
I will want to see this come down next blood work. RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit are higher, I would have thought I would
have seen this during the cycle. Instead it is afterwards. This is likely the open diet. I suppose better controlled when eating clean.

IGF is good for me. No GH since June. The highest I have ever seen is 194. That was the first time I used GH and was not cutting yet but eating clean.

My plan is to run blood work again around 12/06. I don't plan to cycle till February.
I generally feel good. Joints feel ok. I have put on some weight and fat. I have been around 200 at this point.

My squats have leveled up to 405. My chest/shoulder presses are at 225. I am thinking I just dead lift a single plate now slo mo
Alternating trap bar and regular bar. Will stay at these weights with small increments if I feel it 2.5s on each side. Looking for rep counts of
8 to 12 with good form. Not interested in PRs or power lifts. For a guy my size these are very strong lifts. So, I feel no need to do more weight,
just slower tempo for muscle contraction and maybe some more reps.

These last 2 years for sure I don't feel like the energy burst anymore. I am having to bring down the weight and volume. I don't know if it is age or wear and tear, but I just don't have the same stamina as a few years ago. I do turn 56 in a few weeks. I am slowing down.

Goal is to increase delts/arms and decrease waist.

@PrinceDaddy I can see the bloods are overall average but some things like liver and kidneys need organ liver support on a higher level IMO

and the energy burst, you're getting older, its normal to have less energy, have you tried ostazol m1mk /cardazol pre training? :)
 
well that sucks your testosterone is low and you're organs are being strained at the same time
hopefully you can get that reversed
 
every body Builder has similar blood work
the difference is they don't bother to get it done
