I am a 40 year old with around 15 years of serious lifting. I eat very clean and follow IF as well as 5:2 fasting two to three times a month. I have recently injured my right shoulder and left elbow bench pressing. So I’ve stopped all upper body exercises and focused on lower body. Well now I’ve injured my knee as well. The doctor told me today that I’ve more than likely torn my meniscus, but I’m still have to wait for the mri to actually see. Not too sure of the right shoulder as of yet, still waiting on mri results to be read. Also, the elbow has a torn ligament that will require surgery to repair. I have a long history with anabolics, but I haven’t used any in the past year. However, I do take 2iu of hgh daily and also 25mg of ibutamoren. I also take 50mg of clomid 3x week for fertility reason (Dr prescribed). My Dr has advised me to not do any physical activity with my upper body (side note, I cannot anyway due to pain) now I can’t do any lower body exercises either. Also, he’s said no running, but walking is fine he said. My question is how do I hold on to as much strength and muscle while I’m having and recovering from all these surgeries I’m about to undergo? Also, would it be best to eat at maintenance for the time being? I don’t eat anything processed or unhealthy at all. Also, would something like tb 500 be beneficial at this point or would it be a waste until after the actual surgery?
