Finally had an on point close-grip bench day today. Took 165 for a Rep Ride at sets of 8, 9 on last set!!! 💪🎉 That was fun! Today was a lot of sets. Took a bit easy on rest of my exercises today took awhile to finish and still ended with abs & cardio. Looking forward to this next strength cycle. Slow steady wins the race.
Mr snagged some screenshots to post. My elbow sleeves made marks across my bicep and my forearms but they’re decent pics. Everybody have a good weekend! Happy lifting!💪🌸

Yup that would upset alot of people lol, come in completely peeled and stronger than them, that would mess with alot of people, the flip side you could go from a PL meet right into a bodybuilding show and do excellent.
 
Good question @ceo. I’d say my training is the biggest factor in making big gains possible. Knowing how to strength train having a plan and sticking to it!! It’s all synergistic but training has to be the foundation! I made scheduled jumps or my increases that I needed to make sets I needed to do regardless. If u fail somewhere it’s fine cuz u still gain the strength from the attempts even if u may need to back off that weight for that set or remainder of the sets left but u gotta keep grinding to get to your peak. Cuz each week you gain strength. Follow through is key. The PEDs only help give you the boost you need to get over the hump. It allows you to train harder, so I did. Take advantage of body’s ability to train heavier and recover a bit better too! PEDs can Make all the diff if you take advantage of the opportunity they give you. Too much frequency per week will overtrain your body. Why I train 3 days a week. I don’t have to train 5-6 days a week. Cannot recover that fast but I can lift harder heavier when I do lift. So you see my logs and the weights I move… I increase each week I move more weight then most male bodybuilders. Cuz of my training. Not just the PEDs. Having a great training partner or coach I think is a big advantage too. I’m blessed with @RoidRage69 as big part of my drive! 💪🌸

Yup that would upset alot of people lol, come in completely peeled and stronger than them, that would mess with alot of people, the flip side you could go from a PL meet right into a bodybuilding show and do excellent.

Ive never seen a more complete build, her having the ability to PL and then step onto a bodybuilding stage immediately after is beyond impressive not many can do that she is definitely gifted when it comes down to genetics, i agree with you.

Decent bench day got a lot done but my left lat & scapula was giving me grief for wide-grip bench better for Close-grip. Just dropped weight did my sets. Worked on the knot I felt in my lat and scapula. Decline hurt was awkward all together so scraped that too. work arounds are the name of the game as we age!! Will do 5x5s on flat bench and increase my weight by 10lbs each week reaching 185 for 5x5 (hopefully) for first 4 weeks with goal of 225 ish bring my 1RM. Then back down the reps to doubles triples, as the weight will be much higher for peaking. So accessory exercises will be lighter weights in general and higher volume as well for first 4 weeks, then last 4 drop them out. That will be general plan for all training sessions. Next week we bring our PEDs doses back up from half to full! 👍 I’m stoked! 😄 Let’s do this! Happy Lifting! 💪💪💪🌸

You are too kind. RR tells me this too but I guess I’m just modest never really felt that way bout myself. I kinda see it in myself. I never wanted to do the dieting. But posing is hard too. It hurts to flex hard and smile and be graceful at the same time ect… might be fun though. 😊However I would have to pay out some bucks $$ to get a posing trainer. Cuz I kinda suck at that part. Unless there’s sponsor for that @PSL 😉
that will help with funding! And I’m sure registration for BB is a pretty penny too. I know PL it is. I’m having to fork out for PL membership plus registration for meet is $140! Just for one class event, if I do open and masters theres another fee per each class. And the. Push Pull fee. So Thats both of us. It all adds up. And you don’t really make any money in these sports unless you get like picked up and marketed by a big sponsor! So can’t quit the day job. Just a sorta expensive recreation at this point. I do love it though! 💪🌸🏋️‍♀️

I've found it useful to NOT do so either. It keeps me driven to do so almost in spite of it.

Fees for events now are getting silly. $1000 isn't unusual

Mr RR did post pic from July 2023 167 lbs ish. was me before and now 140lbs ish 27lb loss recomp on page 46 post #909. Big diff for sure. I think Mr bigger diff. He had round 60lbs Lodd recomp.

No just the ones from Mondays leg workout posted that we compared those too. and the front facing pics. And my fatter pics. You posted all of my baggage now lol! 🤣 nothing left to hide guys! Actually there’s a couple fat butt pics that are pretty wide!
I really want to be at a stable 132lb/60kg. class and not have to crazy diet or cut to make weight. Cuz 148lb/67.5kg I don’t wanna be at the bottom end of a much heavier class. Cuz I’m half way there. Don’t wanna lose strength cuz I gotta cut hard right before. Body building don’t have to have any strength just enuff endurance to flex through your routine and poses & look jacked! Powerlifter we just eat all the fuel you can handle to burn while doing 1 rep max lifts!!
I got nowhere else to lose from except my ass and legs literally. So I’m not changing anything for now. Seems to be peeling right on off! Will be interesting to see fir sure. 💪🌸

Need to get my 5x5s up to as heavy as bout 325-335lbs to attempt a 400lb for a 1RM. I know I can get 315 for the reps in the bag. Will try to make 20lb jumps on deads to start, to get here. Started back full dose PEDs as Mr RR mentioned earlier this combo seems to be working very well hence my recent pics last week! Keeping the protein high 125-150g a day! Daily calorie consumption avg about 1500-1750cal. Happy Memorial Day Weekend. 🇺🇸🎇🎉 🙏🏻 Thank you all who have served and are serving, it is military appreciation month. Happy Lifting everybody! 💪🌸🇺🇸

Was accessory today. Back shoulders biceps will hit triceps on chest day. Standard issue training day nothing special. Was a 2 set kinda day. 2 sets of everything nearly. Was finding shoulder exercises that don’t aggravate my arms and shoulders. DB Lateral was messing with my right arm shoulder kept popping felt like tendon may been a bit nerve stuff too but swapped it out did front raises and some presses!! Volume again today. Did a lot of exercises 24 sets total. Lots of reps today. Nice weather out, warming up sunshine feels good! Will go out to dinner with father in law tonight somewhere. Had Costco stuffed bell peppers & salad lastnight for dinner, forgot how good those were! Happy Lifting! 💪🌸🇺🇸

Thx! 😊 My pics on leg day page 45 @Mobster I impressed myself lol 😂 but the next morning my legs popped right out. Was even more wild for sure! My jaw dropped a little when I saw the pics he took. Then to go back see the pics side by side with 2023 and 6 months ago, puts it in perspective for me. Was just trying to lose some fat gain some muscle strength get down from my old weight class for powerlifting so I could be more competitive. I think I’m on my way. I just didn’t expect to look good doing it. Will def have to hang onto this look. lol. 💪🌸

Lastnight dinner with father in law Italian was a Cheese Ravioli with mushroom Marsala sauce and 2 big meatballs. Was soo good!! Garlic bread ofcoarse.

It was ok but will stick with conventional since it’s going up comfortably and seems a bit faster. Went up on RDLs from 225 to 255. Those were a bit grueling. Got a bit of the dizzies catching breath after standing back up. Went up on Bentover and shrugs as well. Had a phone conference to get home for so did not get cardio in afterwards today. Thanks @2Thick!! Yes some would say that. I lift for strength not size. Bodybuilders train pretty light I’ve noticed. I just don’t see the point in having big beautiful “WEAK” muscles.
This is why Mr RR lives training with me. I can keep up…usually. He pushes me. And I’m like gotta do it if I wanna move forward! 💪🌸

Best Training partner ever @RoidRage69 . Whole life we have worked out together! Unless he was gone commercial fishing. Harder to push yourself w/o training partner. Don’t have reliable spotter and you’re only accountable to yourself. So u can quit early or cut corners….

Good accessory day 4 of our training week! Went back to our original location gym saw a couple of people there was nice to see. Slows us down cuz we get too talky us ladies and don’t keep flow going with the training. Was not a big lift day so was ok. But some the ladies like to hear what we are up to and asking questions on training. It’s nice. Went up from last week on a few lifts. Nothing crazy. Took easy on shoulders. Next couple weeks will be tough with the volume as weights increase on the main 3 lifts for 5x5s. Happy lifting 💪🌸

Thanks! I have always been sumo deadlifter but had a little bit hip issue was protecting few weeks back. So been doing conventional and closer stance squats which all has felt really good and stronger. Esp squat. So I don’t wanna forget how to sumo. So I’m keeping them in my warm ups as it lets me feel out how the hip groin area is doing. I feel like I’ll stick with conventional deads for competition. Will maybe do some sumo deads on squat day idk. RDLs or straight leg Deads are good for back and glutes hamstrings so they’re No brainer. nice to have options!

@RoidRageWife congratulations on hitting that 295 lb deadlift for 5x5! That’s a huge milestone, and it’s great to hear your hip tolerated the sumo test, but that you’re self-aware enough to stick with what feels best right now. Consistency and listening to your body are key.
