TRT PROBLEMS

So I have a problem. I went on a 12-week blast of 500 milligrams of testosterone enanthate per week. During that period, I managed my blood work carefully. I used an aromatase inhibitor (AI), and my blood results came back good—nothing critical. My blood pressure was also in order, around 130/77, which I think is normal. After the blast, I decided to transition to a TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) dose of 150 milligrams per week.

I've been on this TRT dose for about three to four weeks now, and I started to feel that something was off. I began experiencing headaches and chest discomfort. That prompted me to get my blood work done again, and to my surprise, it came back worse than when I was on the full blast. My testosterone levels are still as high as they were on the blast, and my estradiol levels have skyrocketed—about four times the normal range.

I don’t understand why this is happening. I also checked my blood pressure, and now it's high—around 140/90—despite being on a much lower dose than before. I’m confused and wondering if I’m doing something wrong. I want to emphasize that I’m using the same provider I’ve trusted for years. I know it’s a legit source and the testosterone is regularly dosed, so I doubt the issue lies there. That leads me to believe there might be something wrong on my end.

For context, I take supplements daily: Coenzyme Q10, Taurine, Fish Oil, and Multivitamins. I think it’s also important to mention that this is only my second cycle. The first one went smoothly with no problems during or after, and my recovery was fine. No high blood pressure, no abnormal estradiol, and when I got my heart checked after the first cycle, everything was perfect—both the heart and blood work.

One possible issue that comes to mind is insulin and blood sugar levels. I didn’t include them in my most recent blood work (on TRT), but when I was on the blast, they were perfectly normal. My kidney and liver function are still perfectly fine, so I’m starting to wonder if blood sugar might be playing a role this time around.

I’m open to any suggestions or advice. Has anyone experienced something similar? I’d really appreciate any insight into what might be going on here.

@Stone76 welcome to the EVO family :D I see this is a typical case with TRT or self-cycling, it always has issues and creates issues unforeseen. You're not the first with this.

To really help you in a situation like this, we need to know MORE about you, makes sense right? we can't just guess things. Right now we know pretty much nothing. To really help you, we need you to start a NEW thread with your TRT cycle log, share diet, training, history, supps, sleep and more about you so we can properly guide you as an EVO family. It will take 15min and you need to update it a few times per week so we understand your base.

HOW-TO LOG?
  • To really guide you we need more info from you.
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
Please post a Log Journal asap for us

hard to know for sure
but if you were on test E it would take about 5 weeks or so for the esters to get lower. so add it all up and you are experiencing a spike in #'s from that
i'm not a fan of 150mgs a week for trt. more like 100mgs a week
i can tell you that i have seen plenty of bloodwork over the years and the amount of stress people put on their heart from 150 vs. 100 is very noticeable in many situations

i would stop the trt for like 2 weeks. let some esters click out of your body. you won't die. then i would restart it but do 100mgs a week and i bet you will feel better :)

Will reduce trt dosage, tnx.

Takes a good month plus to clear all the higher test out of your system so you are still experiencing higher test level conditions. Check again in another 3 to 4 weeks when things normalize

This. You are 'still on'. Get bloods done in 3 more weeks

This way, we can correct. Whatever is going on here. It's good that you're on top of your numbers, a lot of people don't care.

I would say a middle ground is better, Mike o Hearn is a good example, he's probably going to get to 70~ at least. Monstro just abused steroids.

I’d really appreciate any insight into what might be going on here.
i wouldn't go crazy over 1 set of bad BP numbers
sometimes blood pressure can go up on a bad day or something else
so be careful with it but don't panic
just remedy things and log it for us @Stone76

Basically you're still on the blast until the test clears from your body. And I'm guessing you stopped using AI when you stopped injecting 500mg test/week, so now you still have a ton of Test but no AI to control it, so it aromatized hard af into e2. Just use some more AI if e2 side effects are too hard to bare, but be careful to not overdo it and run into low e2 side effects, gotta balance it.

I like Steve's idea of coming off for a couple weeks and then "restarting" at a lower TRT dose. It is always best to start low, get bloods, and adjust as needed from there. Much harder to dose down if things are too high.

I would say a middle ground is better, Mike o Hearn is a good example, he's probably going to get to 70~ at least. Monstro just abused steroids.
bro i can respects that

Def get bloods
