hows your food?
Thank you!
Food is going ok, I am trying to get my calories up, and trying to reverse diet, currently on about 2000cals… but most days I struggle to feel hungry, but since I have started the GH I am feeling more hungry so that’s good.
I know you all love good pics! I’m gonna try to remember to take some food pics and post I promise haha
Will also pop up todays food diary of you like?

Weight 67.8kg
Height 167cm
Age 48

Supps

HGH 1.5iu nightly
HRT; Test Cyp 5mg weekly, Progesterone days 14-28 of cycle. Estrogen 2.5mg daily.
Magnesium, fish oils, Vit A/D/K. NAC, Creatine. Desiccated Thyriod.
Retatrutide .5mg twice weekly

So this is my first week starting with coach @AE1079 !!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve not had a coach for over a year, I’m super excited to be coached by @AE1079 he really knows his stuff!
This along with my amazing supps from @Liquid Gold Labs and I feel like this has given me a real boost and the direction I’ve desperately needed, as I felt quite lost what to do before. Im excited to see how my body changes and responds over the coming months!
So Calories this week are set at 1720… just to see how my body responds. These first few weeks will be tweaking my calories And Calories will be adjusted as needed based on the feedback provided to my coach.
So far I’m feeling good, mentally and emotionally and energy in gym has been good too. Sleeping like a baby on the HGH! Fantastic stuff @Liquid Gold Labs 🙌🏼

My new training program is different to what I’m used to, but so far I’ve enjoyed it, and feel it’s sustainable for me with my fatigue issues.
I’m also trialing micro dosing Retatrutide for its many health benefits, hoping with the low doses I won’t feel any side affects such as nausea or appetite suppression (which I haven’t had yet,but it’s only week 1) And hoping it will help with inflammation and pain, fingers crossed!

Please note; this plan & programme has been designed exclusively tailored to my needs and my health. It may not suit everyone and that’s ok,cause it’s my plan based on my body, my health & my goals.

My new training programme is much higher reps then I’m used to… used to the 6-8 rep range, so I found I had to lower the weights for the higher rep ranges… but heck.. my arms felt like jelly after this session!

Compared to you all my weights are so tiny! But hopefully by the end of 2025 I can look back and say wow! Look how far I’ve come! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Training is on point and you have a great coach. @AE1079 is trusted and respected in the EVO family, a true champion at heart.

Dinner, Simple but delicious!
Shame your steak always has to shrink so much 😰 🤷🏻‍♀️
Steak looks amazing.
Small suggestion talk to your coach swap the potatoes to sweet potatoes/yams. :D

I had sweet potato for lunch, hence the white potato for dinner
i like to make potatoes in the air fryer then smash them
yes! I usually do whole roasted potatoes but mashed them today just for something different

I love me some mashed potatoes, and steak together.

Add some barbecue sauce and you're cooking.

@Smiley G awesome work right here! Stay on the grind!

How are you cooking your steak? I'm just curious. Looks like you cooked in the pan.
Hey, yes just in a cast iron pan.. really hot… to sear both sides, then in a low oven mainly just to allow the meat tone to rest .. I usually try to cook it medium rare… this piece looks small but it was thicker… although it did shrink down, but it’s the weight that was on my meal plan! So I stick to it! Lol

So woke up this morning not feeling great, could tell my inflammation was up, and so was my pain.

Almost stayed home from gym but really wanted to go and try out my new program cause it was leg day.

So I thought I wouldn’t push too hard, and just get the body moving and the blood flowing.

I am pretty happy with my session! I wouldn’t say I smashed it, however at least I still kept my routine and I ended up doing more then I thought I could, so it’s the small wins hey!
I also took myself off to my favourite Thai massage lady, which was very much needed, she gets her elbows into all the sore spots lol

Hope your all doing well, keep hanging in there!

Leg Day
Body weight lunges x 3 sets
Iso lateral Leg extension 6.5kg x 15 x 3 sets
Leg press 153kg x 10 x 4 sets
Iso lateral lying leg curl 5kg x 15 x 4 sets
machine Glute Kickback x 60kg x 12 reps x 3 sets
Trap bar RDL 37kg x 15 x 3 sets

It’s hard sometimes physically to get ourselves to the gym and in different ways for women also as I understand you have your own circumstances too. But hats off to you for still getting in there and getting something done!! You won’t ever regret a workout I can guarantee that 😉

if you got some inflammation sister i would do a bit of fasting 36 hour fast to detox the system @Smiley G

Dinner, Simple but delicious!
Shame your steak always has to shrink so much 😰 🤷🏻‍♀️
I also hate the fact steak shrinks so much 😂 especially for how pricy steak is.

I think before prescribing a fast to anyone you should look into actual tolerance of fasting on an individual basis, what if someone gets hypo? High thyroid? Low blood pressure?
@AE1079 with all due respect hypo? that means they have issues with blood sugar and have pre-diabetic conditions, high thyroid? fasting would mitigate thyroid levels, low bp? fasting should implement electrolytes with higher sodium which would actually mod the BP.
Fasting fixes many issues, seems you should do more research on it. @stevesmi has articles and logs about it

@Smiley G can review this herself
10 day water fast:
https://www.evolutionary.org/10-day-water-fast/

19 day water fast:
https://www.evolutionary.org/my-19-day-water-fast-story/

I also suggest you do more research on the topic yourself @AE1079. I think you're a great bodybuilding and fitness coach, one of the best on EVO if not the best, and you're a top bodybuilder, but it doesn't mean you can't increase your game and knowledge base with fasting.

Studies to review:

  • 1. Fasting and Hypoglycemia (Blood Sugar Regulation):
    • Study: Cahill GF Jr. (2006). Fuel metabolism in starvation. Annual Review of Nutrition, 26, 1–22.

Findings: This review discusses how the body adapts to prolonged fasting by shifting from glucose to ketone bodies as the primary fuel source, thereby maintaining energy balance and reducing the risk of hypoglycemia in healthy individuals.

      Link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16848698/
    • Study: Anton SD, Moehl K, Donahoo WT, et al. (2018). Flipping the Metabolic Switch: Understanding and Applying the Health Benefits of Fasting. Obesity, 26(2), 254–268.

Findings: This study highlights that intermittent fasting can enhance insulin sensitivity and reduce inflammation, contributing to better blood sugar regulation.

      Link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29086496/
  • 2. Fasting and Thyroid Function:
    • Study: Jordan SD, Wirth EK, Witte N, et al. (2010). Dietary restriction increases the adrenal glucocorticoid response to fasting and chronic stress in C57BL/6 mice. Journal of Endocrinology, 206(3), 153–163.

Findings: This study indicates that while fasting can lead to a decrease in active thyroid hormone (T3) levels, this is an adaptive response aimed at conserving energy, rather than indicating thyroid dysfunction.

      Link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20685867/
    • Study: Fontana L, Meyer TE, Klein S, Holloszy JO. (2006). Long-term calorie restriction is highly effective in reducing the risk for atherosclerosis in humans. Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 101(17), 6659–6663.

Findings: This research found that long-term calorie restriction, which includes periods of fasting, leads to lower T3 levels without signs of hypothyroidism, suggesting a beneficial metabolic adaptation.

      Link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16585055/
  • 3. Fasting and Blood Pressure:
    • Study: Carter S, Clifton PM, Keogh JB. (2016). The effects of intermittent compared to continuous energy restriction on glycaemic control in type 2 diabetes; a pragmatic pilot trial. Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, 122, 106–112.

Findings: This pilot trial demonstrated that intermittent energy restriction can lead to improvements in blood pressure and vascular endothelial function in individuals with type 2 diabetes.

      Link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27080988/
    • Study: Tinsley GM, La Bounty PM. (2015). Effects of intermittent fasting on body composition and clinical health markers in humans. Nutrition Reviews, 73(10), 661–674.

Findings: This review found that time-restricted feeding, a form of intermittent fasting, can lead to reductions in blood pressure among other health benefits.

You won’t go hypo fasting unless you are on anti diabetes meds. Your liver releases glycogen during a fast into the bloodstream. Anyone can fast and test this out themselves to prove it

Same with blood pressure. Your blood pressure doesn’t drop down that low on a fast. It will actually fluctuate as your body is releasing adrenaline.

with all due respect- hypoglycaemia can happen with anyone at any point, you have no idea what your prescribing to random people without medical history present. It would be irresponsible to tell someone go fast for 36 hours, it’s uncomfortable and it’s stressful. You have people working jobs and moving around. Sure in theory - with the studies you have shown here it works. But with all due respect @LevButlerov before you come through guns blazing, this is related to anecdote and individual response. If your aren’t working with a client, you shouldn’t suggest something that can potentially stress out a person looking for advice. That’s my argument, all of these studies are well good. But you have no idea what type of reaction that person will have. Imagine someone then saying, that bloke lev told me to fast and now I’m having a full hypoglycaemic episode and a panic attack… think about it bro. You have clients right? You’re not going to tell someone jump on 500mg test straight off the bat without prior history? Even worse fasting complicates things further.

As you know I have strong opinions, and this is a terrible idea, you can combat inflammation by fixing other modalities, not going to the extreme for 36 hrs and then getting someone to potentially reverse themselves into a worse place, as it may cause psychological harm or even worse can bring trauma in some individuals. Silly.

So relating to what I said,

You can imagine someone with high t4-t3 conversion, they will burn through energy fairly quickly. Higher energy turnover = lower blood sugar, it happens mate.

What if they have low blood pressure and their RAAS system can’t produce enough Angiotensin 2? Leading to drops in blood pressure for someone to pass out because they aren’t in taking electrolytes? How will you know what the person prescribed a 36 hour fast will react blindly?

Going from a carbohydrate energy based body to then ketones is again a stressful situation on the body and can make someone feel lethargic and potentially sick, moody and unable to function. How is this productive?

You say fasting fixes many issues, it doesn’t fix issues long term mate, you need a solid plan of nutrition, micro nutrient intake and supplementation to fix this. Not temporary fasting.

@LevButlerov outside of me arguing/debating my point (apologies if it comes across rude, I’m just objective) I’m so open to learning. I love learning, however there are things I agree and disagree with, I will have biases, we all do. When it comes to my clients @Smiley G, she needs a sustainable approach. And because this is related to my client, I’m going to heavily argue against the advice that was given of course to protect my client. Hope you understand that.

I think we can go back and forth on this more @AE1079, but it would go offtopic on the log and will be disrespectful to your relationship with your client @Smiley G . I will start a new thread in time where we can circle back to this and discuss fasting for health.

It’s like I said, biases which is fine. That’s what makes EVO diverse but I just think more care should be taken when suggesting something like this

@AE1079 Oh I completely disagree with you on fasting and your thoughts on it, but like I said out of respect for your client/coach relationship I will start a new thread where we can discuss this properly.

And I did check her situation, I followed @Smiley G when she was an athlete for another company, and I follow this log as well closely. In my view, she's a prime fasting candidate, but this is for another conversation.

You should read the articles and study up on fasting sister @Smiley G but always follow your coach, he has your best interest in mind @AE1079

This conversation is just a back and forth between myself and AE for educational purposes, it shouldn't be taken as guidance for you. :D

Gotta say I could hardly lift my arms after this session.

Feeling really good again the last couple days.! Woot woot!

I am finding that even tho I might have a day or 2 here and there where my fatigue & inflammation flares up, I come good much faster then usual, usually I could feel like that for a week… but now it’s only 1 or 2 days at the most.

I’m sure this is also down to the HGH? @Liquid Gold Labs @AE1079

Also my muscle soreness disappears much faster too.

Honestly if you’re not taking HGH I highly recommend getting on some! I’m so glad @Liquid Gold Labs recommended it to me, I didn’t know anything about it before, but it’s amazing stuff!
Not to mention the sleep benefits.

So all round, I’m feeling good, positive mindset, energy is up, I’m having great workout sessions, food is on point…

Thanks to my people @Liquid Gold Labs and my coach @AE1079 bloody legends looking after me, thank you guys.

Ps; I’m attaching a pic of my wee little shoulder Boulder that I’m growing, pretty proud of it I have to say haha.

It’s been 2.5 weeks on my new training program and macros from my coach.

I’m really enjoying this new training program, I was a little worried at first, that it might be too much for me, but my coach @AE1079 has nailed it and I’m finding it fantastic and very sustainable.
I did worry that my body wouldn’t respond as it should, but @AE1079 knows his stuff! And his wizardry has me losing fat and building muscle already Which is just blowing my mind 🤯🤯

Had a few issues with health… a heavy period which set off a nasty migraine which knocked me for a few days, but got through it ok and still had an awesome check in despite not getting all my steps in.
Sleeping well with the GH & energy is pretty good, some days better then others but that’s normal I’m sure.
I found some older pics to compare to now, so will posts those below.
And some food prep pics I always do up a massive batch of sweet potato in the air fryer ready for the week. Along with rice and chicken etc.

I’m noticing the changes in my body, I will catch a glimpse of myself passing a mirror and have to take a second look at my arms or legs, as I can notice subtle changes in the shape etc, it’s very motivating!

All in all really happy with my first few weeks and just keeping on keeping on. Grateful for my amazing supps from @Liquid Gold Labs 🙌🏼

Thanks for reading see you all again soon

Hi everyone !

Excited to check in this week and share my progress with you all.

I cannot begin to tell you what a massive change it’s made to my life taking Test and Hgh from @Liquid Gold Labs
I’m just feeling better and better each week.

My workouts are good, I’m recovering well, I’m sleeping great, my mind and mood is positive. It’s just a complete black and white difference to previously not on the test/hgh.

I’m also getting amazing results with my training & nutrition program from my coach @AE1079
I can see the changes and differences in my body weekly. To be honest I’m blown away so far. My recomping is really going well.

I also tried SuperDrive from @Driven-Nutrition this week pre workout and It was amazing! Definitely gave me some extra push in my workout
One thing I noticed from the SuperDrive was mental clarity, but the main thing which I wasn’t expecting was it also really helped with the pain Ive been struggling with for the last few months in my neck and lower back… literally within 30mins my pain had vanished 🙌🏼 this is huge for me, cause pain is something I deal with on a daily basis.
So thank you @Driven-Nutrition happy to recommend this product, and looking forward to trying your Kaizen!

I put together some before and after photos also, it’s exciting to see my body changing and seeing results, I’m definitely feeling stronger, and noticing the changes.

A cool thing happened today at gym, another gym member came over (she has been attending same gym for years) and said she had been watching me do my cable rows and that she has noticed my back was looking really good, and she could notice my muscle growth! 🙌🏼 omg! That just made my day! I’m still grinning haha

I also want to add a little end note here, a little note of appreciation,
I have no words to thank @Liquid Gold Labs he took me under his wing, he didn’t need to.. there is absolutely no gain in it for him, but regardless of that, he helped me beyond what he needed to, he has introduced me to people like @AE1079 who is now coaching me and is such a wealth of knowledge, more so then all the dr’s I’ve seen and naturopaths and ‘hormone specialists’ etc

I truely cannot thank you guys enough 🙌🏼 you’ve no idea how much you’ve changed my life for the better! I love you guys your absolute legends!
Ok haha soppiness over 😆

Hope you all have a great week, and smash your goals 💪🏽 thanks for reading

Smiley 😀

Hey all!
Check in time, so it’s been 7 weeks on my new program, with my new coach @AE1079 and I am loving it! Huge shout out to @mads and @TeeGee for encouraging me to get a coach, thank you guys forever grateful 🙌🏼 best advise ever!

I catch myself doing a double take if I pass a mirror, haha cause my body has changed so much! People are commenting at the gym saying they have noticed my gains. And also People at work are saying I am looking really ‘toned’ lol (I know you all love that word lol’

I am recomping nicely. I’ve lost 2.8kg so far and also gained muscle!
So far the fat loss has come from arms/legs/back.. stomach and hips always the last area to lose 😤 but the meno belly is coming off slowly but surely.
My fav pair of shorts are now loose on me!
My fatigue is just so much better too, compared to how I used to be pre HRT I would drag myself to gym, and some days it was all I could do just to do some treadmill, I would feel so fatigued I was nauseous. I’m like a whole new person.
Had a few nights of getting woken up with some hot flashes again, so adjusted my Estrogen and it’s all settled down again.

I’ve never had muscle like this my entire life, and my only regret is that I didn’t started lifting weights sooner, but I just had such a fear of gyms, I always felt like such a fish out of water, with all the strange Equipment etc and no idea where to even start but oh well, better late then never hey!

Had a rotten head-cold and sinus infection a couple weeks ago, ugh I get so annoyed if I get sick now, cause I hate missing my workouts, ended up in bed for a week and bit. But back in the gym going hard this week. 💪🏽 feels good to be back at it.

Mood has been great, more energy, positive mindset, and a more overall sense of well-being since adding in the Test Cyp from @Liquid Gold Labs and HGH wow, I love that stuff haha

I Have included some updated pics, and also a pic of how I looked 2 years ago, prior to Hrt.. sitting at 75kg with the weight piling on despite exercising, tracking macros, lifting weights etc 😰 Doctors telling me everything was ‘normal’

Meanwhile I had no energy, night sweats, no libido, brain fog, pain, weight gain, etc etc etc
Lucky I didn’t listen to them and started doing my own research into becoming well again!

I know you all love meal pics, but I honestly eat the same thing week in and out lol so it’s pretty boring.
But I promise to try and remember to take some meal pics to share!
Thanks for reading everyone and happy lifting to my strong evo fam

Thighs arms and obliques 🤩, amazing being able to see the individual muscles what a change!
Had any bloods done at 5mg test?
Thanks mate! Feels good to be finally seeing some results!
No updated bloods as yet, these days I’m more guided by how I feel and my symptoms rather then going by bloods, as they can be so up and down in peri menopause… But might get some bloods soon to see where my test is sitting, that’s not a bad idea.

@Smiley G sister your progress is inspiring! Dropping almost 3kg while packing on muscle is no small feat. It's awesome hearing how much your body has changed and how the gym folks and coworkers are taking notice, must feel good.
The combination of HRT, Test Cyp, and HGH sounds like it's been a game changer for your energy levels and overall well-being. Keep crushing it in the gym and making those gains, your journey’s just getting started with the EVO family.
