Veteran Log S.Gentz 2025-26 Growth Phase Log with PSL

Good day logged, back volume looks strong, 200lb pulldowns and 165lb rows! power :D

Diet looks good we are soooo close to 300 grams come on lets just get 1/2 shake in :P @s.gentz

I'm prob not gonna go any higher with protien. Really trying to preserve kidneys here. EGFR was lower than i'd like on last bloods. Working to improve it.
No creatine. No NSAIDS. Added in some additional kidney supps as well. I'll need to update my supps list.
See where I am in a few weeks.
Was a good back day today. Will be going to 3 work sets next week.
 
Honestly I love it. Prob the most anabolic compound out there. This is one of the most productive cycles I have ever ran. There are def risks though. It needs to be used properly. A dosing mistake could put you in the hospital or worse. Def a very advanced protocol.
Yeah been reading a lot about it, not for use of my own but it is very interesting. As you say though it can quickly turn into a double edge sword!

Yeah not really sure how much accessible protien takes a toll on kidneys for most but for some it’s a real thing. I watched a good friend lose both his kidneys and luckily was able to get a transplant. Never wanna be in that situation. He wa also old school and didn’t take great care of himself but would never with that on myself or anyone else. Ended his BB career.

Egfr was 59 which is right in the low end of healthy.
I had this last year and found out it was the creatine. I was taking 5g daily and didn’t realize there was another 5g in my pre so I was taking 10g and the kidneys didn’t like it. Stopped the creative and it bounced back but now it a bit low again.
Having a cystatin-c test done soon which is a better test for kidney function and egfr is calculated. Last time the cystatin-c test came back good and haven’t had a prob since so just being cautious.

Good you’re being proactive getting the cystatin-c test, that’ll give the real picture since creatine can easily skew eGFR. I wonder what it will be this time. @s.gentz
I think you're fine IMO as you're a healthy guy seems.

A lot of WO supps now are including creatine in their products. It's great and all but if your not paying attn you could be taking way more than you think.

Yet many millions of people use it every day. I know an old guy, he is diabetic and has to use insulin every day. This man has never prepared a meal for himself in his life. My old boss’s uncle. So many people who are functionally incompetent using insulin. Is it more dangerous for non diabetic people? Seems like it shouldn’t be too big of a deal, necessarily. My ex father in law uses insulin. He’s totally off his rocker from decades of drug use and age and a really bad motorcycle wreck

Bodybuilders on the other hand may not understand nutrients timing and other factors that go into safe use. They just get it in there head they want to slam 30iu and they do it without understanding what they are doing.

Yeah i was having this discussion with my coach last week. Most gym bros will try and consume enough carbs to match a chosen dose of insulin where its more appropriate to match the insulin dose to the amount of carbs your consuming. Wether that be in a pre/post wo or daily application.

Is it logical that if your own body is capable of managing the amount of carbs you eat then there is no point in using insulin?
 
Hrrmmmm yeah thats what i feel but i suppose if your reach a plateau in growth because of limit in consumption capacity then would it would be a potentially helpful tool to push passed that point. I do howevever feel a lot of people implement it well before they need to though @toddthelineman

Of course but if your ramming food in then using insulin will give your pancreas a break and insulin is very anabolic!!!

Big time machine pushdowns brother, love the incline treadmill too. Such an easy yet effective way to to get the cardio in. Ill be throwing it in daily too as of next week. Im on the other side of the fence now with this cut so time to play a couple more cards from the hand

Nice work mate! I recommend getting LCMS e2 test done once your EQ hits steady-state/ saturation. You may find you've crushed it into the ground and there's some room for optimisation here.

Been at steady state for quite a while now. e2 is good, actually a bit elevated. This has been my go to cycle now for a couple years. It's dialed in. EQ really does not effect my e2. I still have to take arimidex a couple times per week actually. Same with mast and primo, no effect.

Weight moves surprisingly well. I’m in uncharted territory here with press weight and body weight.
I’d honestly like to bring food down a bit. Having a hard time with digestion. Upped my fiber to 25g yesterday so we will see how that goes. Been taking enzymes for last three weeks. This always seems to happen around the 12-14 week mark. I’m def gonna press on. Deload week next week. Maybe I will back off the cals/carbs a few days then ramp back up prior to start of final build block.
I think once that’s done I’m gonna keep same cals for a bit but shift macros around and lower carbs and raise protein/fat. All still a work in progress.
What are your thoughts?

why bring down? I think the digestion is always relative to actual gut health imo not food @s.gentz

Yeah it may be due to the fact that I aromatize at high rate. Even at my TRT dose of 180mg/wk I will need an arimidex every other week or so or my estrogen will start to run wild.
 
Congrats on the incline press! 💪looking strong. Blueberries & choc sound good with cottage cheese might have to try that. I love it with fresh salsa dip a few chips with it csll it a meal.
I throw a little no sugar syrup on there as well if I want something sweeter!
